First the good news: This is the very rare original edition from 1889 and all of the text and plates are present and complete; the contents are clean and unmarked showing only the occasional small marginal finger smudge. Now the bad news: This copy LACKS the rear board as well as the original spine leather; the front board and first 40 pages are loose; the rear fly leaf is loose and torn. A useful reference copy or fantastic candidate for rebinding, or at least a little TLC.
